About Me

My name is Faith, and I am from Chicago, Illinois. Currently, I am a graduating Senior at the University of Florida studying Marketing and Mass Communications Studies. In my free time, I love reading, running, and exploring new foods & experiences.

Academics & School

Coming to the University of Florida, I was nervous to start over in a new place with new people. Throughout these past four years, I have learned how rewarding it has been to go outside of my comfort zone. This has been reinforced by my experiences in so many ways, such as getting through challenging classes, getting involved on campus, and the amazing people I have met.

Photo: My friends and I at the Swamp (UF Football Stadium). We lived in the same dorm during Freshman year, and have been friends ever since! I am so grateful for all of the lifelong friends I made during my time here.

Global Perspective

In Spring 2023, I spent a full semester at St. John’s University in Rome, where I made so many new friends in and outside of UF! Alongside my UF online business classes, I was able to take Italian I and a course on Art and Architecture in Italy. Outside of school, I would go on walks to explore the city, try new foods, and travel. Some of my favorite trips were seeing the tulips in Holland and Mont Blanc in Chamonix! Studying abroad allowed me to grow in so many ways as an individual, and I am so thankful to have shared this experience with such amazing people!

Professional Development

Currently, I am a Marketing Assistant at UF's Department of Recreational Sports and a Digital Community Specialist at the nonprofit organization Young, Black & Lit.

With a commitment to social responsibility and sustainability, I hope to apply my creative and communications skills to advocate for causes and organizations that I am passionate about!
